Our Purpose

Princeton Housing and Community Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in November of 2023. Our purpose is:

  • To provide very low, low, and moderate income residents in the greater Princeton community with quality, affordable housing facilities and services specifically designed to improve the quality of life for the residents by meeting their physical, social, educational, and psychological needs and promoting their health, security and happiness;

  • To assist in the development, redevelopment and management of affordable housing including the rehabilitation and/or conversion of existing housing and the general improvement of housing conditions as it relates to housing, social programs and job opportunities in the greater Princeton community and the State of New Jersey by coordinating federal, state and local resources and expertise; and

  • To engage in or assist in the development or operation of public housing and to participate in any state or federal program for public housing, slum clearance, redevelopment, and rehabilitation together with the power to enter into all agreements, issue its obligations, and exercise all rights and duties necessary for complete participation in any program available to it under relevant laws.
